About The Site

Hardcore Icons started on the first of September 2007. It all started with a site named "Koyori Anime", which started about three years ago, not enough hits, and I didn't like the name and it's reputation. I started over with Drashee. Yeah, that used to be a graphic site, not just some random sub-domain. Drashee eventually got bad reputation as well, not fun. I had co-owners at Drashee and Koyori Anime, but they were people that I couldn't really trust. They were the reason my sites got bad reputations. So, I took my best buddy, Moorina, and made a totally new site. Thus making Hardcore Icons.

I feel like Hardcore Icons is a hit. We get around 1000-2000 visitors a day, and have made many friends through this website. Best of all, we say what we want, and nobody sends their loyal visitors over to kill us, unlike before. I've never been so proud of a website that I've created before. :)

About the Owners

Oh hai, I'm Maria. I currently live in the Suburbs of Chicago and will be a high school graduate as of 2009. I know that I look young for my age, some of my pictures even make me go "wtf"? Despite my obvious passion for web design and development, I plan on a major in Interior Design.
I've been familiar with the web design community for about five years and have only been designing for three. Most people think I'm very good for the short time that I've been designing, but I seem to disagree. Whenever I can, I spend my extra time making new graphics. Whether it be icons, signatures, wallpapers, or just simple color schemes. I'm always doing something that has to do with this website.
I am a huge music enthusiast. I would go into a deep, deeeep, very deeeeeep depression if I were to lose my mp3 player.

Hey, my name is Merina. I go by the name Moorina nearly everywhere on the internet. I, like Maria, live in the Suburbs of Chicago and am going to be a senior in High School this year.
I barely started designing when Maria came to me, and asked me to be a co-owner. My first layout ever made was the first layout for Hardcore Icons. I've learned so much from watching Maria design. Before I became a part of Hardcore Icons, designing was just some silly thing I'd do when I was bored, it soon became one of my obsessions.
Now a days, I don't have time to get on the computer very often. I try to update every so often, because designing and blogging is a small "passion" of mine, a passion that I really don't want to give up. I try to update as much as I can, because I'm like the costumer support guy at the office. I don't really do anything to contribute, I just talk to everyone. I deal with the god damn customers so Maria doesn't have to. I have people skills; I am good at dealing with people. Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people? (Office Space is an awesome movie)
